Sister Race

Two races, one shared spirit. Thyon–Dixence and Montreux–Les Rochers-de-Naye — both born in 1981, united since 2011. A combined ranking, cash prizes, and fantastic rewards await the finishers of both races!

The Valaisan race Thyon 2000 – Dixence shares many similarities with Montreux–Les Rochers-de-Naye: a comparable distance, demanding elevation gain, high altitude, proximity to a lake, a similar number of participants… and above all, a striking coincidence — both events were born in 1981.

Given these common points, it felt only natural for the two organizations to come together.
Thus, in 2011, the two races were officially twinned.

Since then, a special twinning ranking has rewarded the top three men and top three women who complete both races.
Finishing times from Montreux–Les Rochers-de-Naye and Thyon–Dixence are added together to determine the combined ranking.

Overall prizes – Combined time from both races

The top three men and women in the twinning ranking will receive the following cash prizes:

🥇 1st Man / Woman: CHF 500.–
🥈 2nd Man / Woman: CHF 300.–
🥉 3rd Man / Woman: CHF 200.–

But that’s not all! All participants who are ranked in both races are automatically entered into a prize draw featuring a wide range of rewards: ski passes, meal vouchers, cases of wine, and many more surprises!
