Starting from Caux, dare to go vertical with La Directissime. An uncompromising challenge of 5.5 km with 970 m of vertical gain. The concept is simple: a short, steep, and wild route where the only rule is: “up.” Ascend through untouched nature and conquer the steepest slopes. A pure shot of power for elevation gain enthusiasts.

Start

Sunday, June 7, 2026 in Caux (Chemin de la Patinoire). The start will be given at 9:45 AM.

Distance

5.5 km without detours. A short and steep route that gets straight to the point.

Elevation gain

970 m of concentrated elevation gain. An average gradient of nearly 18%, tailor-made for climbers.

Finish

At the foot of the Rochers-de-Naye Hotel (1,981 m).

Terrain types

The course includes 13% asphalt road, 62% track, 25% trail.

Prices vary depending on the registration date:

  • Until February 28: CHF 40.–
  • March 1 to April 30: CHF 50.–
  • From May 1: CHF 60.–

Race open to well-trained participants.
Minimum age: full 18 years on race day.

Only two rankings: Women and Men.

⚠️ TERRAIN WARNING
The section between Chamossale and Sautodoz is rugged and technical.

(Heavy rain, heavy snow, thick fog)
For your safety, the organization reserves the right to cancel the La Directissime route.

👉 BACKUP PLAN (Plan B)
In case of cancellation, your registration is automatically transferred to La Cadette.
The start will take place from the same location, but at 09:30 AM (instead of 09:45 AM).

🎽 RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT
No mandatory equipment.
Warning: The finish line is at nearly 2,000m. Conditions change quickly in this short and intense format.

  • Sun: Cap, sunglasses, sunscreen.
  • Unstable weather: Warm clothing and windbreaker recommended.

  • ✅ ALLOWED: Poles are permitted for this race.

Option to be selected during registration (CHF 3.–).
Restricted to Swiss residents only.

Location: Marché Couvert (Montreux).

  • Saturday: 02:00 PM – 05:00 PM
  • Sunday morning: From 06:00 AM

⚠️ IMPORTANT: No bib distribution at the start in Caux! You must go to Montreux before heading up.

Time: 09:45 AM (All categories).

🚌 FREE SHUTTLE (Montreux → Caux)
The Glion–Caux road is closed to traffic from 08:00 AM.
A free shuttle is available starting from Montreux.

  • 🕗 First departure: 08:00 AM
  • ⏱️ Last departure: 08:45 AM

👉 Tip: Take an early shuttle to avoid stress.

🍎 ON THE COURSE
2 aid stations to support your ascent.

On the menu: Mineral water, sports drinks, energy bars, fruit.

⏱️ TIME LIMIT
Control closure at Rochers-de-Naye: 01:30 PM.
Beyond this time, participants will not be ranked.

🚞 RUNNER RETURN TRIP
Descent via cogwheel train included (upon presentation of bib).

Purchase during the runner's registration:

  • Children (up to 6 years): Free

⚠️ VALIDITY ZONE
Valid ONLY on the Montreux–Les Rochers-de-Naye line.
🚫 Not valid on the GoldenPass line (Les Avants).

📍 MANDATORY PICKUP
Train tickets are never sent by mail.
Mandatory pickup at the Information desk (Marché Couvert) before the start.

Every Finisher will receive the 2026 souvenir prize at the finish line.
