Starting from Caux, combine effort and freedom on La Hike and Fly. A 9.2 km climb with 950 m of vertical gain before the ultimate reward. Once at the summit, change dimensions: deploy your wing and dive toward the lake. Here, speed gives way to flight precision to reach Villeneuve. The dream format for flying mountaineers.

Start

Sunday, June 7, 2026 in Caux (Chemin de la Patinoire). The start will be given at 9:30 AM.

Distance

9.2 km of climbing before takeoff. An intense effort followed by a spectacular descent.

Elevation gain

950 m D+ to reach the takeoff point. The effort on the ground before mastering the skies.

Finish

Timed finish at the foot of the Rochers-de-Naye Hotel (alt. 1,981 m).
Landing: At the Villeneuve spot (alt. 375 m).

Terrain types

The course includes 49% asphalt road, 17% track, 34% trail.

Prices vary depending on the registration date:

  • Until February 28: CHF 40.–
  • March 1st to April 30: CHF 50.–
  • From May 1st: CHF 60.–

⚠️ IMPORTANT
No on-site registration.
No registration by postal slip or QR code.
No category changes on race day.

🏃‍♀️ CATEGORIES (Women & Men)
Race open to well-trained participants.
Minimum age: 18 years old on race day.

Only two rankings: Women and Men.

📄 LIABILITY WAIVER
Participation implies acceptance of the risks associated with the mountains and free flight.

  • Mandatory: Each participant must fill out and sign the official waiver (acknowledgment of risks + image rights).
  • Condition: This document is essential to validate the registration.

🪂 MANDATORY PARAGLIDING LICENSE
A valid free flight license (FSVL, APPI, or IPPI Card serving as authorization) is mandatory to participate.

🗣️ MANDATORY BRIEFING
All participants must attend the pre-race briefing and follow safety guidelines.

⚠️ LIABILITY
The organizer declines all responsibility in case of non-compliance with the established rules.

🚨 RESERVE PARACHUTE (MANDATORY)
Each participant must carry their own flight equipment during the ascent.

  • Certified reserve parachute: Strictly MANDATORY.
  • Control: No departure will be allowed without this equipment.

📱 BURNAIR APP (MANDATORY)
The Burnair Map app must be installed on your smartphone. Participants must activate the Live Tracking function for the entire duration of the event. Note: Live Tracking is free with the 'Free' subscription.

🎽 RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT (Weather)
You will be evolving at nearly 2000m. Conditions change quickly.

  • Warm weather: Cap, sunglasses, sunscreen.
  • Unstable weather: Windbreaker, warm clothes, light gloves (recommended for flight).

🦯 POLES
Allowed during the ascent.

🏃‍♂️ THE ASCENT (Timed)
Ascent on foot from Caux with all flight equipment (950m D+).
The clock stops upon arrival at the summit (1,981 m).

🪂 THE DESCENT (Untimed)
Flight from Les Rochers-de-Naye to Villeneuve.
No timing during the flight to limit risk-taking.

🏆 FINAL RANKING
The descent is decisive thanks to the bonuses:

  • 2 Turnpoints to fly over.
  • 1 Precision landing in Villeneuve.

Formula:
Final time = Ascent time - Time bonuses (minutes)

☁️ IF FLYING IS IMPOSSIBLE
Safety first. If conditions do not allow taking off from Les Rochers-de-Naye, the race is neutralized.

Descent options:

  • From Sonchaux: If flying is authorized there (lower altitude).
  • By train: Return via the cogwheel train (according to organization instructions).

📬 HOME DELIVERY
Option to select during registration (CHF 3.–).
Reserved for Swiss residents only.

📍 ON-SITE COLLECTION
Location: Marché Couvert (Montreux).

  • Saturday: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
  • Sunday morning: From 6:00 AM

⚠️ IMPORTANT: No bib collection at the start in Caux! You must go to Montreux before going up.

Location: Caux (Route de la Patinoire).
Time: 9:30 AM (All categories).

🚌 FREE SHUTTLE (Montreux → Caux)
The Glion–Caux road is closed to traffic from 8:00 AM.
A free shuttle is available starting from Montreux.

  • 🕗 First departure: 8:00 AM
  • ⏱️ Last departure: 8:45 AM

👉 Tip: Take an early shuttle for a relaxed ascent.

Every Finisher will receive the 2026 souvenir prize at the finish line.
